R.I. District 3010 comprising the National Capital Territory of
Delhi, the revenue districts of Faridabad, Gurgaon, Rohtak, Rewari,
Sonepat, and Mohindergarh in Haryana and Ghaziabad and Gautam Budh
Nagar in U.P. came into being on July 1, 1984 with 39 clubs as R.I.
District 301. It was renumbered 3010 in Rotary Year 1991-92.
The first club in this region, the Rotary Club of Delhi, was started
in 1938 and received its charter on January 18, 1939. By 1970, seven
(7) more new clubs had been formed in this region. The 70’s
saw significant growth, by July 1, 1984, there were thirty nine
(39) clubs in the District. At present there are hundred (100) clubs
in District 3010, with over four thousand (4,000) Rotarians.
From the beginning, the District has been very active in fulfilling
the objectives of Rotary, committed to the ideals of community service.
Apart from the various activities undertaken by individual clubs,
many projects initiated at the district level have made a significant
impact in the community service avenue. Some of the major District

Our District pioneered the Pulse Polio programme in India and also
made substantial contributions to the Rotary Foundation. Youth represents
the future of any community and in keeping with this conviction
our District has always laid emphasis on inculcating a spirit of
service amongst the youth of District 3010. There are over 132 Interact
and over 69 Rotaract clubs in our District, each active in various
community/youth projects.
In addition, Rotary Community Corps (previously known as RVC’s)
in the District undertake various programmes in the villages, to
alleviate the suffering of the rural poor.
Our average annual contribution to The Rotary Foundation in the
past five years is approx 1,80,000 US$
